Our restaurant is opposite the estuaries of Lake Weyba , directly facing the natural waterways surrounding Keyser Island.

Since 2007 the entire Noosa region of 1500 square kilometers has been designated an international  biosphere reserve by UNESCO.

About Noosa Thai

Noosa Thai is an authentic Thai restaurant based on over 200 years of traditional Thai customs and recipes.  We're a family of Thai chefs who have been cooking for at least four generations.

We're conveniently located in the heart of Noosa. 

Our menu has 60 classic Thai dishes that offer an impeccable balance of taste and flavour! 

Noosa Thai is owned and operated by Vanessa in partnership with her son and daughter.  Born in Thailand, Vanessa first learned to cook from her father who acquired his expertise as a chef from his father.  As a school principal and the mother of two boys and four girls, Vanessa's mother had little time for cooking.

Some of Vanessa's earliest childhood memories are of family weekends on their nearby orange orchard.  She remembers how proud they were of the sweetness of their oranges.

After her dad suddenly died, Vanessa assumed the responsibility of cooking for the family.  Her interest increased and her knowledge expanded as did her skills and confidence.  The lessons of frequent tasting taught by her father have remained with her over the years.  They resulted in a balance of sweetness with sourness, and spiciness and saltiness. Her menu items encompass these flavours.

Later when she was working in Bangkok, Vanessa encountered cooking styles from every region of the nation.  Her friends became dependent on her natural talent to blend whatever spices and herbs were needed for the exotic dishes of their new found urban environment.     

When Vanessa arrived in Australia she investigated every opportunity to establish and operate her own restaurant.  Finally, after traveling the east coast she settled in Noosa, Queensland, where she acquired Noosa Thai Restaurant from the founder.

Vanessa's menu represents the culmination of her lifetime experiences and memories from time spent learning to cook from her father in Thailand.
